Marking an energetic and reminiscent finale to the summer season of gigs and festivals, The Children's Society Rock the House Live has chosen a new face to support Iggy Pop &The Stooges, known as 'THE DIRTY'.
London born and discovered by Tricky and music mogul Chris Blackwell, The Dirty were hand picked to support the music legends, also including Idlewild and The Horrors at this summer's ultimate concert.
Full of self-belief from the moment of their inception, The Dirty - made up of Kyrill on vocals, Martyn on guitar, Gee on bass and Kieran on drums - carry a nod to the originality of real rock 'n' roll, the energy of punk and an edge that makes everyone sit up and take notice.
Tricky commented: "Iggy pop is one of the founding fathers of punk music in the UK and has influenced much of today's music. By choosing an act like The Dirty to support him at Rock The House Live shows his continued support of new music!"
Kyrill, lead singer with, The Dirty commented: 'There are none more infantile and child like than musicians, so who better to do something for The Children's Society. All I've ever wanted for The Dirty is to have a shot at playing with 'The Legends' that are Iggy & The Stooges and now we are!'
The Dirty will open The Children's Society Rock the House Live at Harewood House in Leeds, on Friday 31 st August 2007.
